Total Quality Management

At Lyons Magnus, Food Safety and Quality are our highest priority. As a provider of ingredients and products to the food industry, we recognize that protecting consumers and delighting customers must be foundational to how we operate.

To deliver on this promise, we follow a Total Quality Management approach. We have dedicated resources for food safety and quality who focus on developing and adapting processes and procedures to meet Regulatory requirements as well as customer expectations. This philosophy towards food safety and quality can be seen in the development and execution of our HAACP and quality plans. Our plans are comprehensive and cover the entire supply chain across development, manufacturing, packaging, and storage. We engage with all levels and departments of our organization when developing our food safety and quality plans. We understand that the safety of our people and products are the foundation on which the company rests.

SQF Level 3

Lyons adheres to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) system for food safety and quality that adheres to globally recognized food safety standards. SQF independently examines each of the Lyons Magnus production facilities’ food safety and quality systems. The audit determines if our facilities and copackers meet required guidelines that comply with the SQF code for food safety and quality.

Lyons Magnus’ customers require that we follow a GFSI initiative, which is a benchmarked scheme for food safety standards used to certify food manufacturers’ manufacturing facilities and warehouses. Our customers require that all facilities meet a minimum standard, and the Lyons Magnus teams work diligently to deliver to this standard every day. This is a testament to our commitment to Food Safety and Quality.

Additionally, Lyons complies with all federal, state, and regional regulatory guidelines in addition to religious certifications, and customer requirements.
